Who we are
Locked In Poker is poker training software for personal study. Christian Carey is the publisher and the contact responsible for the app and this website. Questions about privacy can be sent to christianrcarey@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account and sign-in: your email address, account identifier, sign-in provider, and information you choose to provide. A sign-in provider may also supply your name, profile picture, and provider identifier. Apple’s private relay address is used when you choose Hide My Email.
- Training and preferences: drill attempts, answers, results, selected table and spot settings, progress, streaks, practice pledges, and app preferences.
- Device and notifications: device/app technical information, time zone, and a device push token when notification features are enabled. Notification permissions are controlled by your device.
- Subscriptions: purchase and transaction identifiers, subscription status, product information, and entitlements used to provide paid features. Apple handles App Store payment details; we do not receive your payment card number.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, errors, and relevant technical context. Reports may include an account identifier. The app is configured to redact email addresses and credentials from diagnostic reports.
- Support: messages and information you send when contacting us. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.
How we use information
We use this information to sign you in, save and display your training progress, personalize practice, provide subscription access, deliver reminders you enable, resolve errors, protect the service, and respond to support or privacy requests.
We do not sell personal information or use Google account information for advertising. The app does not request access to your contacts, precise location, Gmail messages, or Google Drive files.
Google and Apple sign-in
Google sign-in requests basic identity information through the openid, email, and profile permissions. This helps identify your account and connect it to your saved progress. It does not give the app access to your mail, contacts, calendar, or files.
Apple sign-in identifies your account using the information Apple provides, including a private relay email address if you select that option. You can manage sign-in permissions in your Google or Apple account settings. Disconnecting a sign-in provider does not automatically delete your Locked In Poker account or cancel a subscription.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Service providers and sharing
We use providers to operate features of the service. Providers receive the information needed for the functions they perform and process it under their applicable terms and privacy protections.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication, database storage, and backend services. |
| Apple and Google | Sign-in; Apple also processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. |
| RevenueCat | Subscription validation and entitlement management. |
| Expo | App delivery, updates, and supported notification delivery. |
| Sentry | Crash and error diagnostics when enabled. |
| Vercel | Hosting the web version of the app. |
| OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare hosting infrastructure | Hosting this public website and handling necessary web requests. |
| Email providers | Account messages and support correspondence. |
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a transfer of the service subject to applicable privacy obligations. Personal information is not shared for third-party advertising.
Local storage and website visits
The app uses device storage for guest training data and preferences, and session storage to maintain sign-in. Guest data may remain on your device until it is cleared or removed. Signing in can associate saved guest practice with your account.
This website does not add advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or a mailing-list form. Its interactive training preview runs in your browser without saving answers or sending them to us. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser details, security cookies, and basic request logs to deliver and protect the site.
Opening an email link starts your email application. We receive your message only if you send it.
Retention, security, and deletion
Account and training information is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion in the app through Profile → Delete account. This removes your account and associated active training records; it is not recoverable through the app.
Some information may remain in provider backups, diagnostic records, or transaction records for the period needed for recovery, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations. These records are handled according to their purposes and applicable retention rules. Contact us for questions about a particular record.
Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple subscription settings.
We use access controls, secure connections, and protections for stored sign-in credentials. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can change app settings, disable notifications in device settings, manage provider sign-in permissions, and delete your account in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent.
Email christianrcarey@gmail.com for access, export, correction, deletion assistance, or privacy questions. We may ask for information needed to verify that the account is yours. You may also contact your local privacy regulator where applicable.
Age and international processing
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange deletion where appropriate.
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Applicable protections and contractual safeguards govern those transfers.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when the service or its data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated when required. The current privacy contact is Christian Carey at christianrcarey@gmail.com.
